2015 Chicago Michelin Bib Selections…

The 2015 Chicago Michelin Bib Gourmand list was posted this morning on michelintravel.com and surprisingly there were No Suburban Restaurants on the list, in comparison to the 10 from last year’s list. Michelin describes the Bib Gourmand restaurants as places that offer two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less (tax and gratuity not included), and are often of most value to a city’s residents, who regularly dine in neighborhood restaurants. I have mixed emotions about the Suburban restaurants being shut out of the Bib Gourmands. On one side it could mean that former Bib Gourmand recipients like Autre Monde in Berwyn could be receiving a star when the stars are awarded next week and on the other hand it could mean that some pretty awesome places won’t get the recognition that comes along with being named by Michelin. I totally have my fingers and toes crossed for Suburban restaurants and I’ll keep you posted on the recipients.

Check back often for updates!
