There is just something about candy that makes us happy!! Especially old fashioned candy, it transports me back to childhood. So recently I went on a search for a  good candy store near me. During my candy store crawl I realized that the Chicago suburbs have some of the coolest candy stores around. From bulk candy gummies to Gobstoppers, Wax Bottles, Necco Wafers and Zagnut bars, local candy stores are a staple across Chicagoland. Some of the candy stores in this guide create their own candied apples, chocolate treats and they sell bulk nuts.

Astropops, JawBreakers and Chick-o-Sticks are some of my favorite candies, along with gummy worms. Talking about all of these sweets is making me want to pick up something right now.
