I’m always on the lookout for a good meal in the Chicago Suburbs, last year my family and I had breakfast at one the of the best restaurants in Deerfield Il. I mean we really enjoyed our experience, so naturally I told people about it. 😀
After sharing our experience, the restaurant reached out to ask if I’d be interested in visiting again and bringing some local food influencers with me. I agreed and reached out to other local foodies to arrange a visit.
The Cherry Pit Cafe Menu is a mash-up of breakfast and lunch classics with rotating specials that creatively incorporate Mexican favorites. The chef/co-owner Carmen loves creating new dishes and apparently some of the specials get to be so popular that they end up on the menu. One of my favorites is the tamale breakfast skillet, picture your traditional breakfast skillet with potatoes, eggs and tamales on top, it is seriously good!
Needless to say I’ve been back a few times to see what’s new and most recently I partnered with Cherry Pit Cafe to host 9 of my favorite Chicago Instagram Influencers for a private brunch with me and the owners of the restaurant. Every time I invite other bloggers or Instagram enthusiasts to hang out with me in the Suburbs it always surprises them how much they truly enjoy it despite the drive. This time was no different.

We had such a good time! Everyone had a dish that they were in love with. This time I couldn’t get enough of the Pancake Tacos and the Enchilada Skillet and could literally have them over and over again. 😛
