This Battle of the Balls Should Be Epic

Although most of the time, I stick to my Suburban Chicago roots and my love of free parking, there are sometimes where something is so tempting that I just submit to making the drive into the city. Checking out a Battle of Balls sounded just too tempting, so alas this Sunday, March 6th I will be visiting Formento’s for a friendly Meatball Battle.

14 of Chicago’s most talented Chefs will compete to prove to Chicago, who has the Best Balls.

Chef Chris Pandel of B. Hospitality Co., Chef Sean Pharr of The Bristol, Chef Paul Virant of Perennial Virant and Vie, Chefs Joshua Kulp & Christine Cikowski of Honey Butter Fried Chicken, Chefs Brian Enyart & Jennifer Jones of Dos Urban Cantina, Chef Abra Berens of Stock Café, Chef Duncan Biddulph of The Winchester, Chef Nathan Sears of The Radler, plus La Sirena Clandestina.

There will also be mixologist Greg Buttera of Campari who has crafted a specialty Negroni for the event, not to mention Goose Island beer and Terlato Wines.

Sounds like the recipe for a fun Sunday in Chicago. I can’t wait.

If you’re looking for something fun to do and you want to meet me there, check out the ticket details and date & time info below.  Reservations are recommended and may be made online or by calling 312.690.7295.

Tickets are $60 for food and drinks.
