Michael Jordan’s Restaurant recently opened in Oak Brook, serving seasonal and southern dishes including the famous Michael Jordan Mac and Cheese, alongside locally raised beef in an upscale casual environment. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, with a newly launched happy hour menu, available Monday through Friday from 3pm-6pm. The restaurant menu prices are more approachable than those at the more formal “big brother” Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse in Chicago. Equipped with 8 televisions around the dining area.

Dress Code

There is no published dress code, diners can feel free to be as casual or dressy as they’d like. Perfect for any kind of date night.

Some of the highlights of the dinner menu include a luxurious 45 day dry-aged Prime Delmonico from Linz Heritage Angus farm, Nueske’s double smoked bacon and their signature 23 ingredient chopped salad that gets prepared tableside as diners look on. There’s a focus on sourcing regional food for the dishes that Executive Chef Craig Couper creates for their seasonal menu.

Drink Menu

The beverage program at Michael Jordan’s Restaurant further promotes their commitment to local, seasonal products. The cocktail list is made up of top-shelf liquors paired with fresh ingredients. If you’re a fan of wine, there is a wine by the glass program. They didn’t forget about beer lovers, the beer menu is made up of fan favorites from independent brewers with a focus on the Midwest.

Dessert Menu

The most popular dessert at most Michael Jordan Restaurants is definitely the 23 layer chocolate cake, which I couldn’t resist getting (see Facebook video). There is also cheesecake, Nutella Crème brûlée and other rich flavors.

Oak Brook Restaurants

The ever evolving Oak Brook restaurant scene continues to draw in locals and those from surrounding suburbs. Across the street from the busy Oak Brook Mall, Michael Jordan’s is located on the 1st level of one of the two office buildings there. There is valet available as well as self-parking. Depending on time of day Valet will cost between $0 to $3. Parking in the rear of the office tower and walking to the restaurant takes about 2-3 minutes.
