Real Urban Barbecue Announces Grand Opening Of Third Location in Oak Brook , Monday, November 17
First 100 Guests in Line Receive a Complimentary Sandwich & First Guest in Line Will Win Free BBQ for a Year!
CHICAGO (November 2014) – RUB it inReal Urban Barbecue, currently in Downtown Highland Park and Vernon Hills, is proud to announce the grand opening of their third location in Oak Brook on Monday, November 17 at 11 a.m.
In celebration, the first 100 ‘cue fanatics in line will receive a complimentary sandwich of their choice, and the first guest in queue will win free barbecue for a year!
Located at 2119 Clearwater Drive off of York Rd. and W. 22nd Street, the new “Smoke Brook” restaurant will open for lunch and dinner, while specializing in corporate and private catering, and carry-out.
Their bark is as great as their bite. Equipped with a “Smoking Room” capable of producing more than 3,000 lbs. per day of “low and slow” smoked items- like St. Louis style and baby back ribs ordered dry, wet or to “perfection”; pulled pork, Texas sausage, turkey, brisket and chicken- Oak Brook’s smoking capacity is more thanReal Urban Barbecue’s other two locations combined.
“This new restaurant is our largest yet,” says owner Jeff Shapiro. “Big flavor, big smokers and even bigger stomachs. We are the first barbecue location to enter the Oak Brook market, and we are excited to serve our award-winning fare here.”
Real Urban Barbecue is also the first restaurant to bring the delicacy of perfectly charred, caramelized burnt ends to Chicago, and now Oak Brook. Top it all off with RUB’s homemade, signature sauces, and pair with comfort sides like mac & cheese, sweet potato soufflé and golden corn bake.  Sandwiches and fresh salads are also guest favorites.
Real Urban Barbecue will have a dedicated door for carry-out order pick up, plus counter seating, booths and tables for 75 guests; with an additional space for 60 people available to reserve for private and corporate parties.  In Spring 2015, RUB will unveil their new patio area complete with decorative lighting and music throughout that will seat an additional 60 people.
Real Urban Bakery…Come for the barbecue, stay for the dessert. Under the direction of executive pastry chef Kristi Loucks, the new Oak Brook location features an extended bakery section for all of RUB’s homemade desserts including cupcakes, cake balls, whoopee pies, cakes, and pies.
